Watercolor rainbows

I'm an enthusiastic of the idea that craft for kids don't need to be expensive neither complicated.
It's all about the making and doing and all the beauty of it!
Creating is a special moment for them!
Those watercolor coffee filter rainbow are so easy to create!

Supplies used
(affiliate links for your convenience)
Optional (for garland)
Twine
Small wooden clothspins

Directions:

  • Lay a piece of parchment paper to protect your working area.
  • Flatten a coffee filter on the top of the parchment paper. Start painting the center circle with purple. Then continue painting the rainbow colors in circles around each other going to the edge of the filter, which will end in red.
  • Let it dry.
  • Cut it in half and you'll have two beautiful watercolor rainbows. I LOVE how the colors blend and make unique designs!
  • When you have enough rainbows, create a garland to decorate kid's bedroom or classroom.
  • Maybe you can put one inside an envelope and mail it to someone in need of a rainbow!
