This was my second time painting a birch.
As its surface absorbs paint easier than rocks do, I had trouble at the very first strokes to understand the real amount of paint needed. After that, it was so easy and relaxing.
The first two layers I only worried about adding the rainbow shades. I started working on the ombré effect from the third layer on.
When the colors were dry, I use the pencil to very lightly trace the quote. After that, I covered it with white Posca extra fine point.
