In love with this Testors marker that gave a laminated background look to my #wordrocks!
List of supplies
(affiliate links for your convenience):
- Rocks – If you can’t find any outside or at your local garden center, you can buy them on Amazon.
- Testors Marker Metallic gold (they also sell a silver one)
- Black marker. I like Faber-Castell and Micron.
- Mod Podge
- Heat Gun Tool (optional)
The first step is to use Testors marker to create a beautiful metallic background. Wait for it to dry. After that, correct any not covered spot. This marker has an amazing coverage.
You can draw a silhouette (as I did with a heart) first tracing it lightly with a pen.

To start using the black marker, be sure that the background pain is completely dry. I use a heat tool to make the process faster. Once your rocks are covered, draw with markers on the surface to create detailed designs!
Seal it with Mod Podge.
